Claims for entire-vehicle theft
The number of vehicles insured for theft rose by 15% during the 2013-2023 period, from 4.1 million to 4.8 million.
- The number of vehicles insured for theft is constantly increasing and reflects the increase in the number of vehicles in circulation. Despite this increase, the number of entire-vehicle thefts decreased until 2016, increased in 2017 and then remaining stable until 2020.
- From 2020, the number of claims saw a dizzying increase of 111% until 2022, stabilizing in 2023.
